Most probably this trigger is not compatible with VEMS :/

Do you have any more detail on the trigger type?

Red colour a signal on exit LM1815
Dark blue colour a signal with VR
If to use only positive impulses which above "0" that we and have on exit LM1815
We will have a signal of position of the bucket in TDC at a compression timing period, it I and prepare to use. Only I do not know as in Vems to make an exit on 4 separate ignition coils, for example how in drawing.

On older engines flywheel has two sectors similar to hall rotor in dizzy. But VR sensor was used. Here it looks same but with aditional pin or hole for cylinder group recognition.
anyway - I do not see how to use it with VEMS.
Signal in second scopeshot is not steady. LM1815 gives signal when signal crosses zero line from positive to negative. This signal not crossing. It just touches to zero line. As result output signal most probably will be floating.
Partly here could help some hardware hack: raised zero line by adding DC signal on VR output. Then may be it is short gap trigger???
Short gap trigger has just few users... Anybody here?

imho pull down will bee good.
With pull down you will se only positive impulses, so if i see correct every 90 deg. And you need one impulse from crank to make 8+1 trigger.
