Hall Primary Trigger - voltage limit?

Is there a high voltage limit for the Primary Trigger - Hall?

I am using a VEMS as a datalogger this weekend, and I need some kind of RPM input to start the Wideband
heating process before the start of the run.

Can the primary trigger accept 12v?
- If so, I can use the Tach output from a the CDI box.

My other choices are 8v (Autronic trigger supply - not sure what their pull-up is)

Or I must make a diode circuit to lower to 5v. (help?)

Thanks.

Yes 12V should be acceptable. Signal goes trough 10kOhm resistor and then 5.1V Zener diode cuts it to safe level.

Thanks for the reply. I like it when things are easy. :)
