Max temperature in Megatune and LCD
« on: April 30, 2007, 05:53:26 pm »
Hello!

With scare I find that coolant temperature readings in Megatune and LCD sticks at 102C although in real teperature goes higher  :o

Why? How to fix it?

I remember Megasquirt was same isue. But with simple editing cltfactor.ini for Megatune was possible turn things right. At tuning this is vital information!

I've just checked the vemsv3.ini file and its set to read upto 110 with a warning colour change at 105c.

I'm not sure why you're having this problem - is your unit set up for the correct temperaure sensors?

I have running standard 1.1.22 firmware with default NTCs. Both my temperature sensors read slightly more than actual. Say 5-7deg I think. Both are BOSCH reading 2057Ohm @25C IMO.

I use Megatune from VemsMT1.1.12-pre package.

Note LCD have same: 102C margin.

Shall we file a bug-report for this?

Before I can make bench test on another board to be absolutely sure.

Just make bench tests with two different firmwares: 1.0.3x (sorry do not record - was loaded from purchase) using Megatune from VemsMT1.0.53 package and 1.1.22 using MT from VemsMT1.1.12-pre.

In both cases temperature readings sticks at 102C in Megatune and 101C on LCD. LCD seems have 2deg step and indicate ~1deg lower than Megatune.

In addition -  IAT act in same manner.

Gints.
