Data Logging sampling rate
« on: February 24, 2010, 11:31:41 pm »
What logging rate are you guys seeing in hz?

What can be done to improve the logging rate, and/or the consistency of the rate?

I have logs from the same day ranging from 6 hz to 14 hz.

Dell laptop running Windows XP, 1.0.73, MegaTune, Serial port.

I get an uneven 14-16 hz on my tests with 1.1.63 and VemsTune

Please list what OS, Firmware, Software (MT or VemsTune), Type of port (serial or usb).

What is the rate when using the SD card logger?
EDIT: On my SD Card 1.1.63fw tests I get a nice, even 10 hz in the log.

I am very happy with the even spacing (1.000-1.100-1.200) , but how can we get more samples per second?

The next day I got 20-22 hz on my logs as well.

How can we make the logging more consistent?

And how can we make the SD card logging quicker while remaining consistent?
