Hello,

The C20XE with Motronic 2.8 uses Bosch coil 0 221 503 001 and Bosch Ignition Module 0 227 100 200.
The GenBoard has 4 IGBT + 4 logic-level output.

I have no information on this coil and ignition module, and I guess the ignition module is not necessary at all.
Does anyone know how to wire and setup this coil?

Thanks and Best Regards,
Guilherme Buonfiglio

I have the same setup (M2.8 C20XE@Turbo) and I am using only logical level output (0/+5V) without IGBTs for driving Bosch 100 200 module. I don't like high current in ECU....

me to, 5V logical level output is good for that ignition module.

I'd like to not use this ignition module at all. What are my options?
The reason is difficulty to find them in Brazil, high price and reliability issues.

Thanks and Best Regards,
Guilherme

Look at the way the module is wired - you should find that the 12v feed to the coil pack will be separate to the wires coming from the ignition amplifier pack.
IGBTs will drive the coil just fine.
