well not much of an up date as too much time got wasted fixing / sorting the clutch and gearbox for this weekend

BIG thanks to Dan @ DB Power again :wack: as the rad, fan kit and oil cooler are now here...

new light weight rear window fitted and rear spoiler back on

turbo manifold trail fitted

and then the turbo  ;D

the rest of the time was spent sortting the feed and return pipes for the turbo + tapping for egt sensor.

we just need the turbo elbo now and the engine can go it

yeah very lol :D

well we got it mapped to 1bar thurs and friday but we had a miss fire ??? we got the ext waste gate plumbed back in to the exhuast system for the TA regs and finished it so we could run at ta round 1

well i got home at 1am go up at 4am and set off at 4:30am

on the public track time i got booked found i was hitting boost cut  ??? so i rased it to 1.2bar and did a bit more mapping but still hit boost cut the ext waste gate turned out to be non adjusted as such and so i had to run a min of 1.4bar but got it mapped the best i could in a 15/20min track time and warm up in the TA round 1 morning run lol

boy was it great fun running in timeattack with an unfinished car with lots still to do. i think we did well

i finished 37th overall out of 44 drivers and 10th in group b which i was put into

To be in the top 20 drivers for the super battle you had to be doing a 1:22.638 my best was 1:26.383 with the fastest driver in club class doing a 1:18.286  8)

The super battle,

Snow/rain/hail which made it hard for the people in Rwd the 3rd qualified in club class finished 19th! (TVR Tuscan) overall due to the weather with the top 10 cars in club class were all 4wd apart from the Honda Integra DC5.

im happy with my time to say its my 1st time out competing and with running at 1.4bar no alignment and lost of weather changers etc i dont think we did too bad at all.

timing here
http://www.tsl-timing.com/attack/2008/81470.pdf

and on TV
Time Attack - Rd1 at Donington
Motors TV (Sky 413) 8.30pm April 25th

OK....... So its 6weeks to the next race at knockhill (18th of may) and we have a bit of work to do on the s13 before then:-

fit new engine and start running

get wheel alignment done

make / fit new fuel system

get new exhuast system made / fitted

start working on aero desgin / fit rear diffuser front spliter

get new engine mappped and hopfully dynoed

I´d call that pretty good results.

hope the mapping reveals more ponies. I would reccoment dyno tuning for the timing to get the best results.
as well as mid range timing, 0-1.4bar
